I always forget stuff or realize things later. So I’ve added some things to the Tom Jankowski piece. It’s mostly about Coach Dick Baer and his observation about the 1962 Bay football team, but there are a couple of other things.

Thanks, Steve, for sending me this additional information, much of it concerning Dick Baer.
I am going to speculate that he did not teach much longer after he gave up the coaching. He would have been born about 1940. He should have been eligible to retire by the late 1990’s or 2000. Teaching Phy Ed year after year is a grind that everyone would like relief from.
I never had any interaction with him.
